An interesting tip:
I installed LO 4.2 that it has not this bug.
After some tries, I launched LO 5.1.3.
Now the icons have no issues!
When I restarted the computer and launched again LO 5.1 and not LO 4.2, now the
issue is present and the icons disappeared with the text area.
So with the versions that have not the problem, the display of the icons is
modified so that the LO 5.1 works fine and benefit of this mysterious setting.
In other words, I think that LO 4.2 prepared the display in order to LO 5.1 can
work fine. Problem with GTK ?
