File with two XY charts having X and Y error bars
Hello,
I have an XY chart with error bars that were set on the Y axis using the “Cells
range” option. When trying to remove these error bars, the dialog box that
comes with menu “Insertion→Error bars on Y axis” opens with “Cells range”
selected. When selecting “None”, some fields in the bottom of the dialog box
are superimposed and the “OK” button is disabled. The only way to remove these
error bars is pressing the “Enter” key.
I attach an ods file with two XY charts in order to reproduce the problem. The
X value is defined in column A, the Y value is defined in column B, the X error
is defined in column C and the Y error is defined in column D. Both charts show
the same XY curve, but the first one with the error bars on the X axis and the
second one with error bars on the Y axis. Errors bars have been set using
“Cells range” on C and D columns.
Edit the first chart, select menu “Insertion→Error bars on X axis”: the dialog
box opens with “None” option selected. When clicking on the “OK” button, the
error bars are removed and the dialog box is closed. This is the expected
result.
Now edit the second chart, select menu “Insertion→Error bars on Y axis”: the
dialog box opens with the “Cells range” option selected. Some fields in the
bottom of the box are superimposed (see attached image) and clicking on the
“OK” button has no effect. Pressing the “Enter” key removes the error bars and
closes the dialog box.
