I almost created a similar issue. I just like to add the fact that I was able
to reproduce this problem every time I flip an image in Powerpoint
horizontally. If I save the presentation as pptx then the image is fliped back
in Impress. If saved as ppt then it is imported correctly. At least with my
test files. YMMV.
But: That was with version 5.0.6.2, but with 5.1.3.2 my test-pptx import was
flipped correctly but the flipped picture was positioned wrong. I will
investigate further.
