What do you select in "Paste special" ?
Choosing default settings (Text/Numbers/Date time) I did both tests in
daily20160525.
The files open without problem in Excel 2010.
Your https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=125214 does give the
error.
