Contacted the author of appimage (
https://github.com/probonopd/AppImages/issues/63 ) and he said, "Might be worth
mentioning that the script to generate the AppImage is really easy and is
available here:
https://github.com/probonopd/AppImages/blob/master/recipes/libreoffice/Recipe
So they could basically just take it and integrate it into their workflow."
