Ctrl+Shift+Left
 > last word is not selected
Ctrl+Shift+Left
 > last word is selected, second word not
Ctrl+Shift+Left
 > only second word is selected, last and first not.

Even more fun:
Enter cell with F2 and do continuous Shift+Left. I'll post a screen shot of
that :)
