Linkification is part of the auto correction feature, meaning you can _undo_
the transformation. If you want to switch off this feature go to Tools >
AutoCorrect > AutoCorrect Options > Options and uncheck "URL Recognition". If
you want to remove a link in an existing document you find the respective
function in the context menu.
And please set WORKSFORME if this works for you :-)
