Did the same test again (see comment #12), both with 5.1.4 and 5.2.0.0 beta2
x64. The result is unchanged: the CPU rendering is much faster than the openGL
rendering. The approximate figures given in comment #12 are still valid. I
don't see much difference between version 5.1.4 and 5.2.0.0 beta2.
