Were you downloading from the
http://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ site? Or were you
performing a check for updates "upgrade", from LibreOffice main menu Help ->
Check for Updates?
In either case the download action is distinct from the installation--which
requires a launch of misexec.exe Microsoft Installer run against the package.
Opera should not have complained--what network resources WEBDAV or CMIS for
example were you connected to when you ran the update?
