as a vi(m) user i habitually end inserts with the escape key. having for the
umpteenth time just inserted multiple lines of prose into a cell, followed by
escape, yet again i am acutely disappointed there's no trace of what i just
typed.
if redo, or undo, or paste, or any hack could bring it back, life would be far
more wonderful.
