I object to marking this bug as duplicate.
This bug is saying that libreoffice impress is BROKEN.
It is dysfunctional for most cases.
Of course, there might be further bugs that should be
solved before you could call impress usable again,
hence I understand your step.
But, at least, please, rise the priority of 100540 to high!
