I get a crash when I select the old .fon fonts like "Script" and "Roman"
because they aren't supported by Direct Write. That crash seems in the same
place as this crashes. One of the problems is that we don't really check that
the font is bound and proceed with rendering. I submitted a patch for master to
[1] (I want to see if it builds on Windows) so I hope this will fix this issue.
