Bug ID: 100902
Summary: LibreOffice Writer and Bean Ignore and Overwrite Each
Other's Page Breaks
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.1.2.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Does .odt have consistent handling of page breaks? Going back and forth between
these two word processors, I keep losing my page breaks.
(LibreOffice makes it easier to edit tables. Bean makes it possible to disable
flashing cursors. Because i need to edit tables, and to avoid flashing cursors,
I have to switch back and forth.)
Steps to reproduce:
1. Copy a LibreOffice Writer doc with page breaks.
2. Open in Bean. See if page breaks are still there. If not add page breaks
back in Bean. Save.
3. Open in LibreOffice. See if page breaks are still there. If not add page
breaks back in LibreOffice. Save.
4. Open in Bean. See if page breaks are still there...
I haven't tried this with other word processors, so can't confirm if it is
specific to Bean, which isn't supported any more anyway, or if it is more
widespread.
