Nonsense.
Moving from HSQLDB to Firebird is progressing. And GUI interaction between Base
and Calc or Writer is getting minor adjustments--while retaining support for
legacy HSQLDB until a full cut over.
So in short its coming. If you need something robust in the interim--work with
an external RDBMS and appropriate connector.
