The goal is to replace the format>page>background dropdown by a number of
sections similar to the tabs in other dialogs, and to get rid of this duality
per "area" and "hatching". It is part of the GSoC project and which has some
advantages for the users (and still a number of issues). Let's discuss the
hatching thing in bug 100907, I'll renaming this one to release plan something.
Whether it is included in 5.2 (my preferred target as it is LTS, IIRC, or 5.2.1
or 5.3) is up to the developers, and perhaps also the ESC.
5.2 is scheduled for week 31 (Aug-01 to 07), RC3 and RC4 in week 29 and 30
resp.
