            Bug ID: 101047
           Summary: Can't password a spreadsheet
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

I have two spreadsheets that require passwords. Neither accepts a password now
that I've updated to LibreOffice version 5.1.4.2. They used be able to be
password protected. After I go to Tools, Protect Spreadsheet, enter my
password twice, press OK, save the document, and exit, when I see the
spreadsheet in LibreOffice's thumbnail view, (a)I can see the content of the
document (instead of a stylized icon), and (b) when I open it, it opens
immediately without prompting for a password. Security has been totally
eliminated. Everything worked fine under LibreOffice 5.0.6.x. I'm using
Windows 7.

On my laptop, which is on Windows 10, I still have LibreOffice 5.1.2.2
installed. I put my spreadsheets on a flash drive and was able to open them
just fine with password prompts as expected. So that's strange. It appears
the passwords I reapplied to the two spreadsheets under 5.1.4.2 actually got
saved to the documents. Otherwise they wouldn't have prompted for passwords
under 5.1.2.2.
