Peter, I'll close this one as NotOurBug meaning it's Mint's problem.
Adolfo pointed you need “myspell-pt” and you didn't refer on that.
I have this problem myself, some “myspell-??” are not present in Mint 17 or 18.
That's not LO, but rather Ubuntu issue.
