If you read again the comment of Marqeaux, it says that the OpenGL option is
disabled by default so no need to test disabling it.
I just tried the deb package downloaded from libreoffice.org and the behavior
is the same as mentioned earlier.
My system is Xubuntu 14.04 x86_64, kernel 3.19.0-65.
