I think I understood the problem:

Last week when I had the problem, I used an .xls database created using Crystal
Reports and an old .doc file. Even saving the files .xls -> .ods and .doc ->
odt the problem continues.

I did a test creating a fresh database .ods and a fresh document .odt with 4
rows and the problem didn't occurs. I inserted more rows and it still works.

So I got the files I has problems last week, copied the content and paste in
new odt and ods files and saving in a single file worked perfectly!



Conclusion: the problem occurs when using MS Office files to generate mail
merge.
