--- Comment #3 from Joe MacKrell <[email protected]> ---
OK, I tried path #1, which was to download the old version. Unfortunately, the
installer for 4.3.3.2 ( the one it asks for) still crashes with the following
error:
"...\LibreOffice 4.3.3.2_win_x86.msi is not a valid installation package for
the product LibreOffice 4.3.3.2. Try to find the installation package
LibreOffice 4.3.3_Win_X86.msi in a folder from which you can install
LibreOffice 4.3.3.2."
Hmmmmmm. I didn't see an installer for 4.3.3, only 4.3.3.1 and so on. That
yields the same error. Ditto 4.0.1, 4.1.2, etc.
I did find an installer for 4.3.3 on another site, but its called
libreoffice-4-3-3-multi-win.msi, and it didn't work either.
And then I did something stupid: I tried renaming the
libreoffice-4-3-3-multi-win.msi file to LibreOffice 4.3.3_Win_X86.msi.
AND IT WORKED.
I have no idea how, and I have no idea if I'll get the same error at upgrade
time, but it looks like I'm good for now!
Thanks to all who pitched in.
Cheers-
Joe
