--- Comment #1 from V Stuart Foote <[email protected]> ---
Confirming the behavior 5.0 -> 5.1 and 5.2, but is this a bug?
The thumbnails are held as base64 images in the user
profile--registrymodifications.xcu--and when deleted via UI from the
StartCenter or the Most Recently Used Used list (File -> Recent Documents) the
stanza is immediately removed from the user profile. Until deleted from the
profile (via the UI, or directly editing the .xcu) the thumbnail will remain.
What seems to have been changed is testing existence of each entry on the
Thumbnail view/MRU during launch of LibreOffice. No clear idea of where it was
changed--but suspect some adjustment would have been needed as testing for
availability of a document on launch would be expensive for a network/cloud
resource.
@Kendy, might this change in housekeeping of thumbnail views be result of your
work on bug 95095?
