            Bug ID: 101839
Summary: EDITING enhancement: suspend auto-calculate while
                    pasting
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Hi,
When pasting a large data set into a sheet with many formulas Calc is very slow
(can take minutes), as a workaround I disable auto-calculate then re-enable it
after data is pasted and the same end result is achieved much faster.
With auto-calculate on it feels like calc is auto-calculating after every
single cell of the new data is pasted.

If auto-calculate was suspended while data is being pasted it would make Calc
seamlessly fast while pasting large data sets and I can't discern any drawbacks
from suspending auto-calculate while pasting.

Thanks for your help
