Bug #: 50864
Summary: : Auto save partial backup
Classification: Unclassified
Product: LibreOffice
Version: LibO 3.3.4 release
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Status Whiteboard: BSA
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Libreoffice
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Problem description:
the document is saved in temp directory with the current format instead of
saving always in the most complete format (odt, ods, ... ).
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a docx: you want to modify it and save as odt.
2. Modify the document and use some feature still NOT available in docx format
(but available in odt).
3. The program crash: all the data not available in docx is lost. So auto save
has done a partial backup.
Current behavior:
Auto save use the format of the document during backup
Expected behavior:
Auto save has to save your work, does not matter witch kind of file format you
are using.
Platform (if different from the browser):
Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/13.0
Note: I suppose this is the same in the newest version of Libre Office.
