--- Comment #4 from Alex Thurgood <[email protected]> ---
Wow, this bug report is incomprehensible. So, let's start by trying to
understand the issue from the comments...
Manuel states that he's teaching students that use a variety of OSes : OSX (no
version number ?), OpenSuse 13.2 64bit, Windows 7, Windows 8.1
As I understand it, the problem relates to the colour of the handles of objects
when inserted into documents and selected.
By default this has always been :
Red for rotatable objects when activated.
Green for raster object selection (text boxes, images, field controls, etc)
Blue for vectorized objects.
Tested against :
Version: 5.3.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 6468968f5fc9d9bbddb19c160d40731e70560c19
CPU Threads: 2; OS Version: Mac OS X 10.11.6; UI Render: default;
Locale: fr-FR (fr.UTF-8); Calc: group
1) Open a new Draw document
2) Insert a variety of objects and observe the default object selection handle
colours.
3) Gallery image insert from sidebar :
default green, rotatable red
Freeform line :
default green, rotatable red, edit points blue
Closed Bezier curve :
default green, rotatable red, edit points blue
Preformed shapes (diamond, rectangle, ellipse, smiley, organigramme :
default blue, rotatable red, no edit points.
When the preformed shape is converted to curve, edit points are available,
but are also blue
So, possibly confusing to use blue as the default object select colour for the
preformed shapes, but that is not what seems to have been reported here, so
setting to UNCONFIRMED.
