the interesting thing is this:
Hung window detected:
presumably the main thread is blocked from processing Win32 messages.
i'd guess that this was caused by Idle/Timer refactoring in VCL in 5.0.
it is quite likely to be fixed in 5.1 already.
please re-open if you can reproduce it in 5.1 or later.
