            Bug ID: 101981
Summary: Removing accent marks from Calc functions in the
                    Spanish locale
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: Inherited From OOo
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Localization
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Is there a reason to have/keep an accent mark in Calc function names in the
Spanish locale or could it be removed?

E.g.: DÍA, DÍASEM, MÁX, MAYÚSC, MÍN, etc.

Because the biggest competitor (Excel) doesn't use it - see (in Spanish)
https://support.office.com/es-es/article/Funciones-de-Excel-por-orden-alfab%C3%A9tico-b3944572-255d-4efb-bb96-c6d90033e188

And Apache OO apparently removed it in version 4.0.1, too - see (in Spanish)
http://blog.open-office.es/calc/cambios-importantes-en-las-funciones-de-openoffice-4-0-1-calc

So that it might be good to standardize.

This needs feedback from Spanish locale users, though. I'm just suggesting it.
