Sorry for the delay... I was just starting my holiday when you sended your
question.
I am using this version of LibreOffice:
Version: 5.1.4.2
Build ID: 1:5.1.4-0ubuntu1
Threads CPU : 4; Version de l'OS :Linux 4.4; UI Render : par défaut;
Locale : fr-BE (fr_FR.UTF-8)
and I am on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
Launch impress and create a empty presentation with no background and no effect
at the creation of the presentation.
I create 3 pages and put a title and some text on each.
I go to page 1 in normal mode (center of screen)
On the right pannel I chose "transition" -> "modify transition".
The fields "sound" show 3 possibilities:
no sound
stop previous sound
other sound
When I choose "other sound" and select a sound file by clicking on "open".
(I tryed Wav and MP3)
But in place to see the name of my sound in the field "sound", i have again
"no sound"
I tryed also to use the menu "Insert/sound or video" on the first page. But it
hide my text (also when I play the presentation) ans stops when going to the
next slide.
I hope this can help you to find a solution.
