I can reproduce this bug with the attached non-working test case on macOS
10.11.6 and LO 5.2.1.2. Test case uses the same gif as the bug reporter, but I
cleaned the document to only contain the gif and some text.
First frame looks normal, but then it seems like only the changes between
frames is shown. Instead it seems to show part of the page itself.
The attached working gif animation test case works fine however.
