             Bug #: 50928
Summary: EDITING: Copying and Inserting Lines - needs
                    redesigning
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: LibO 3.5.4 release
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Status Whiteboard: BSA
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Spreadsheet
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]

Problem description:

When copying and inserting lines - a common operation when doing line entry
book keeping - the basic operation should be a quick ^C ^V .

At the moment a Paste Special with Move Down operation is required - this is
multiple key presses which should be unnecessary .

If more than one line is copied the process completely fails at the paste point
thus resulting in even more key operations .

Steps to reproduce:
1. Highlight multiple lines - ^C .
2. Paste .

Current behavior:

* Paste fails .

Expected behavior:

Should be a simple highlight line\s , ^C , ^V to insert operation . An insert (
default ) \ revise option could be added .

Platform (if different from the browser):

Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (W7 - Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:12.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/12.0
