You're correct it's not a PDF viewer as primary function, but when you're
importing a PDF you expect it to be rendered correctly for edit and as a
consequence it becomes a PDF viewer, not as a primary function though but as a
consequence.
Correct edition of the math functions is not possible because of bad rendering.
