I get the same thing, but I do not understand what does mean compressing an
image with a resolution larger than the resolution of the original image.

When compressing an image, what image has to be compressed, the image stored in
the document or the part of the image which is visible ?
In the case of a cropped image, to which image the image data given in the
compression dialog is applicable? to the visible part or to the whole image?
