Bug #: 51186
Summary: Line spacing should be able to take input in points
whatever the general measurement unit
Classification: Unclassified
Product: LibreOffice
Version: LibO Master
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
There are three non-proportional line spacing settings in LO Writer -- At
least, Leading and Fixed.
In my experience with word processors, whatever be the selected general unit of
measurement, whenever we want to set any of these line-spacing settings, we
want to set them in points. currently the application only accepts input in
whatever global unit of measurement is set. However this is not appropriate for
line spacing as we are able to better relate the line spacing in point size to
the font point size.
Currently my default measurement unit is inches, as I find it most convenient.
But certainly for line spacing inputting in inches is very awkward (even
incomprehensible) for me at least.
Since "Choice is Good" (TM) at least provide a combobox to select whatever unit
we want for these three line spacings.
