Dear Adolfo,
Thanks for your comment and suggestion. In response to your question: to my
surprise, yesterday morning, after booting the machine following overnight
shutdown, Ubuntu issued a message that “LibreOffice Base is now installed”.
When clicking that message (again, i.e. just as after apparent installation of
"Base" the day before) a dialog box was issued where I could choose to “Launch”
Base. Now, when hitting that button indeed the "dialog box, a wizard" you refer
to was issued - as far as I'm aware, that 'wizard' dialog was not issued upon
hitting the “Launch” button prior to yesterday morning’s reboot.
