Tested on version 5.2.2.2 (x64) on Windows7 pro:
I can still reproduce the problem.
Additional information: during the time that the comment can be entered/edited,
the toolbar changes and the cell-background colour button is not in the
toolbar.
When closing the comment, the toolbar 'restores', but presumably reinitialises
as well, causing the history to disappear.
The problem can also be reproduced by making the cell-background colour button
contain recently used colours and editing an existing comment.
