Works for me, both "create view" and "insert" -> "View Design".
Version: 5.3.0.0.alpha0+

CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Linux 4.4;
Note that you have to select "Tables" tab at least once before using "View
Design". I don't know if it's intentional.
