            Bug ID: 103436
Summary: FORMATTING: Active color is always black in the
                    redesigned Area dialog
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 5.3.0.0.alpha1
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Version: 5.3.0.0.alpha1
Build ID: f4ca1573fcf445164c068c1046ab5d084e1b005f
CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Linux 4.8; UI Render: default; VCL: gtk2;
Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU.UTF-8); Calc: group

The new Area dialog (redesigned in 5.3) includes two color previews with RGB
and Hex representations: Active and New. The Active color preview is always
black.

Steps to Reproduce:
Steps to reproduce:
-- Start Impress
-- Draw a shape, say Rectangle
-- Select the shape and call the Area dialog for it by, for example, context
menu -> Area
-- Click Color switch button
-- Two color previews appear: Active and New
-- The Active color preview is black no matter which color the shape’s area
indeed has
-- Click different colors in the color picker palette. The Active color preview
remains black though its RGB and Hex codings are changed as you change the
color

The same issue applies to the Area property in Paragraph dialog in Writer.

Actual Results:
The Active color preview is always black.

Expected Results:
The Active color preview is expected to show the selected color.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No
