            Bug ID: 103497
Summary: FORMATTING: Fields in forms should be created with
same format as defined in table.
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: Inherited From OOo
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Base
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

This enhancement-request comes from a German LO-forum:
When creating a table and define, for example, a field for TIME, there will be
a standardformat '00:00:00' (hours:minutes:seconds).
When creating a form for this table the field in the form has standardformat
'00:00' (hours:minutes). Uninformed users would miss the input for seconds here
and don't know, that is defined in a different way.

That isn't the only field with different standardformatting. Have a look at a
field with INTEGER-AutoValue. This will be created in the form wizard as a
decimal with two digits. Every time I create a form by the wizard I have to
reset this field to a field without digits.

When creating a form it would be great to get the format from the table. If you
want to change this, you could do it later. But if you won't you have excluded
one step and the uninformed user isn't irritated about different forms.

Have a look at bug86315 . If this bug is solved you could also read out the
format of queries and define the defaultformat of a form, which has a query as
datasource.
