Bug #: 51327
Summary: EDITING: ctrl+shift+left/right arrow doesn't select
previous/next word
Classification: Unclassified
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 3.5.4 release
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Status Whiteboard: BSA
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Problem description:
When using ctrl+shift+up/down arrows to select previous/next paragraph, it
works well, but ctrl+shift+left/right arrows doesn't work anymore. The cursor
stays at the original position instead and no text is selected.
ctrl+left/right arrows has the expected behaviour : the cursor goes to the
previous/next word. But when I add the shift key the behaviour is not
consistent with what is explained in libreoffice help page : no text is
selected and the cursor doesn't move.
Steps to reproduce:
1. create a new document with writer
2. type several words
3. try ctrl+shift+left/right arrows to select previous/next words
Current behavior:
The cursor doesn't move and no text is selected.
Expected behavior:
The cursor should move to the previous/next word, and select the previous/next
word.
Platform (if different from the browser):
Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0
