--- Comment #3 from Bradley Allen <[email protected]> ---
How do you clear all index marks out of a document that need to be deleted?
When I moved the mouse cursor over the word, digital, a small window opens and
reads; 'Alphabetical index: Git'. Right clicked the mouse and in the opened
menu it had 'Index Entry..' Selected 'Index Entry' and selected delete but the
cursor did not move to the next word.
I had to select delete 4 to 13 times for each and every word that was
referenced in the index which equals to THOUSANDS of delete clicks.
Created a new index. Added one word in the Concordance-File.sdi file and right
clicked to select update index from the menu. The word appeared in the index
correctly. Added a new word into the the Concordance-File.sdi file and right
clicked to select update index from the menu. THe new word appeared correctly
in the index.
Checked the first occurrence in the book of the first word in the index to
determine if it had multiple index marks as the book had before when I had to
clear thousands of index marks embedded in the text. It only had one
occurrence for the first word in the index. Which is great! Continued
testing and the index marks are only occurring once in the book text for each
reference in the index.
This bug of not clearing the index marks in the text from the previous
selection of 'update index' before adding additional index marks when selecting
'update index' must have occurred in an earlier release and I did not notice
the bug until this release.
This bug created 7 hours of work deleting the thousands of index marks one
delete click at a time.
It would be very helpful to be able to delete ALL occurrences of a single word
index mark instead of selecting delete for every occurrence.
