.odp file to reproduce the problem
This bug is still present in LO 5.1.
I attach an .odp presentation with many SVGs.
Going from one slide to the other can take 1-2 s.
By comparison, opening the SVGs in an image viewer like eog takes ~0.2s.
So it seems some optimization might be possible here.
