            Bug ID: 103874
Summary: a conflict between text color and background color
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 5.2.3.3 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

I inserted a footnote in a textline in a table cell. I set the text to blue and
the asterisk which leads to the footnote in red. But then I wanted to make the
text white and the background color blue. Whenever I selected the text
(including the asterisk) and did that, what happened was that the character
area belonging to the asterisk didn't change color. It results in white text
(alright), red asterisk (alright), blue background (alright), and a small
vertical rectangle behind the asterisk, with the page colour in the middle of
the blue background (and that's not right)!
