I can confirm this behavior on a freshly installed debian stable with KDE.
Observed behavior: newly opened libreoffice document stays in background.
Expected behavior: document should open in foreground (get focus)
Quite annoying, if working in a production environment.
Debian 8 stable
Libreoffice 4.3.3.2
KDE SC 4.14.12
