Bug #: 51456
Summary: FORMATTING: Horizontal Pitch Ignored When Creating
Labels
Classification: Unclassified
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 3.5.4 release
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Status Whiteboard: BSA
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Problem description: When setting up labels in LibreOffice, the "horizontal
pitch" parameter seems to be ignored, setting itself equal to the width of the
label. The result is that text gradually creeps off the left-hand side of each
label when printed.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Click File > New > Labels
2. Select a label format where the horizontal pitch is not equal to the label
width (for example, Avery A4, L7651 Mini Address)
3. Click New Document
Current behavior: There is no space between the columns of labels, and as a
result there is a larger-than-specified margin down the right hand side of the
page. When printed, this leads to label text moving off the left hand side of
labels.
Expected behavior: Thin columns of blank space between the columns of labels,
representing the physical labels and the spacing between them.
Platform (if different from the browser): Kubuntu 11.10 with LibreOffice
downloaded from the LibreOffice website (NOT the Ubuntu packages).
Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/13.0.1
