Some characters go over the line, like the ps and the gs. Wouldn't it be cool
to have an underline option which could "stop" a really small distance before
the place where the character crosses the line and then "continue" a small
distance after that place? I don't mean to stop when it hits the entire
character's place, because that would seem too "unnatural" to the desired
effect...
