            Bug ID: 104099
Summary: Updating a Calc DDE Link to add rows does not actually
add the rows in the Writer doc
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 5.2.3.2 rc
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
I am on LibreOffice 5.2.3.2-rc2 on Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakketty-Yak), [Build ID:
1:5.2.3~rc2-0ubuntu1~yakkety1].

When updating a linked Calc spreadsheet, when rows are added in the
spreadsheet, updating the link in Writer (Edit Links -> Select Link to add the
rows - does not add the rows.

It accepts the updated link (ie the new rows) and refreshes but does not expand
the DDE Linked Table to show the new rows.

The entire DDE Link needs to deleted and recreated with the new added rows,
thus needing to recreate the styles.

Changing range numbers in DDR Links, if no new rows are added, updates the rows
fine. No problem there.

But the issues are around new rows being added and updating the links
accordingly.

I discussed this on the forum and @Ratslinger said it works for him on OSX.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Copy a range of cells from a Calc spreadheet.
2. Paste them in a Writer document as a DDE Link.
3. Update the Calc spreadsheet to add a few more rows.
4. Update the DDE Link in the Writer doc from Edit Links to add the new rows.
5. Hit OK and exit the Dialog Box.
6. Does not update the Writer table in the doc to show the new links.

Actual Results:
When exited out of the Edit Links Dialog box, the DDE Linked table in Writer
remains the same. Does NOT reflect the changes in the link dialog fox to show
the newly added rows from Calc.

The whole table in Writer needs to be deleted and recreated as a new DDE Link
with the new rows from Calc.

Expected Results:
The Linked DDE table should have updated with the new rows as was entered in
the Edit Links dialog box to add the new rows from the Calc spreadsheet.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Again this is happening on Ubuntu 16.10 LO-5.2.3.2-rc2. @Ratslinger mentioned
it does not happen to him on OSX.

Not sure if it is just a Ubuntu problem.

Thank you for your help and I will try it out on 5.3.0 alpha as well.
