but perhaps I am missing something.
With a FR locale, the double quote " character gets replaced by « (opening) or
» (closing).
I can copy /paste that character into the search box of find/replace and it
will find the character and highlight the cells containing it.
Your problem might be dependent on the particular OS locale, and LO locale, and
possibly even the keyboard that you are using and for that we would need more
information from you.
