Bug ID: 104171
Summary: 'Programming LibreOffice' help page issues
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.2.2.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Documentation
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Documentation in https://help.libreoffice.org/5.2/Common/Programming reads,
"...Macros created with LibreOffice Basic based on the old programming
interface will no longer be supported by the current version..."
I think this makes no sense. See 2nd opinion here:
https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/82473/basic-old-programming-interface-will-no-longer-be-supported-by-the-current-version/?answer=82517#post-id-82517

In addition I think the rest of what is on this page also doesn't make too much
sense, and I didn't find it helpful (although it is the official help).
Suggestions: I think the warning icons need to go away, and there needs to be
some reference to the very best documentation to learn and use Basic, etc.
So far the best documentation I've found is here:
https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/BASIC_Guide (If something like
that exists for LibreOffice I think that needs to be pointed to.)
Thanks!
