--- Comment #4 from Mark Roth <blog...@eaf.net> ---
As directed in green at the right, I have changed the status back to
UNCONFIRMED.
Here's what I did to get rid of the old Menu bar which didn't update when I
updated from 5.0.x.x to 5.1.5.2, and from 5.1.5.2 to 5.1.6.2:
1. I renamed user to user-old
2. I opened Writer and saw that the Menu bar issue had been resolved.
3. All my personalizations had been lost. I closed Writer.
4. In the new user, I renamed renamed registrymodifications.xcu to
registrymodifications.xcu-new.
5. I copied registrymodifications.xcu from user-old to user.
6. I opened Writer. Menu bar still up to date. Personalizations restored.
Wonderful!
Thank again, Joel, for your help.
Is this a process that I need to go through every time I update LO? If so, that
definitely seems a bug to me.
