As a submitter of one of the originals of this bug (Bug 41321) some years ago I already said that a solution of an issue like this is much more important for the growth of LibreOffice than some fancy new stuff. The basic stuff should first work to enable the adaptation of LibreOffice in far more professional organizations. I absolutely do not want to be rude - I know that all the work is done by volunteers - but just for the real break through of LibreOffice it is important to focus on "simple" issues like this. I'm not an IT specialist but as a Mac user of course I want to test solutions!
