--- Comment #1 from John McGrath <[email protected]> 2012-07-01 14:13:41 UTC --- I have had this problem reoccur several times since I filed this bug. Many times it works, but occasionally it fails when I do a search under the Help "Find" tab. I cannot detect a pattern as to when it occurs. When it fails, the message shown is: "LibreOffice requires a Java runtime environment (JRE) to perform this task. The selected JRE is defective. Please select another version or install a new JRE and select it under Tools - Options - LibreOffice - Java." I have both Java 1.6.0_33 & 1.7.0_04 installed on the system - I installed the JDKs, and that creates two JRE installations each, one as part of the JDK, another stand-alone. I tried switching between the 1.6 JDK and JRE installations, but that does not seem to affect things. One thing that may or may not be significant: When I open Tools - Options - LibreOffice - Java, the list of JREs is blank at first, then the JREs appear. It sometimes takes only a few seconds, sometimes up to 10 seconds or so. The time difference may be due to system load. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list [email protected] http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
